Installing Windows Management Framework 5.1
The Windows Management Framework (WMF) is required for all Cayosoft products. After downloading the Cayosoft installer from Cayosoft.com/download/ open the menu and run the System Check Tool. If the framework is already installed the words <Installed> will appear next to the WMF item. If the framework is not installed, simply click the [Click here to install] link. The following image shows that the framework is installed.
Manually Installing the Windows Management Framework
Download and install Windows Management Framework 5.1 from the Microsoft website: Windows Management Framework 5.1 download.
Installing PowerShell Gallery Module
module contains cmdlets for discovering, installing, updating, and publishing PowerShell packages from the PowerShell Gallery. version 2.2.5
- Navigate to C:\Program Files\Cayo Software\AdminAssistant
- Run Cayo.CheckPreRequisites:
- Click the link to install the PowerShellGet module.

If the Cayosoft Administrator service is running you will see this information message - click Ok:
- PowerShellGet module will be installed.

Run the Cayosoft Administrator service if it was stopped.
Installing Active Directory module for Windows PowerShell (included in RSAT installation)
The Remote Server Administration Tools for Windows (RSAT) component is required by Cayosoft Administrator to connect to and use Active Directory as a source system for various administrative tasks.
Because Active Directory is often used as a source system for other extensions, the Remote Server Administration Tools must be installed for setup to be completed.
If Cayosoft Administrator is installed on a Windows Server OS you must add the "Active Directory Module for Windows Powershell" feature to the Remote Server Administration Tools features group. When installing Cayosoft Administrator on a Windows workstation computer, you must download and install the Remote Server Administration Tools for Windows.
Adding RSAT to Windows Server 2012 R2, 2016, 2019 OS
Adding RSAT as a feature in Server Manager
- Run Server Manager
- Click Manage > Add Roles and Features
- Click Next until you reach Features
- Enable Active Directory module for Windows PowerShell in Remote Server Administration Tools > Role Administration Tools > AD DS and AD LDS Tools
- Click Next
- Click Install
Adding RSAT manually via PowerShell console
- Click the Windows Start icon

Type ISE - you will see the Windows PowerShell ISE appears on the screen

Right-click Windows PowerShell ISE and click Run As Administrator
- Stop Cayosoft Administrator service, if it is already installed
Stop-Service CayoAdminService
- Run this command to install RSAT
Install-WindowsFeature RSAT-AD-PowerShell
- Start Cayosoft Administrator service
Start-Service CayoAdminService

Close the Windows PowerShell window

Installing Microsoft Online PowerShell for Azure Active Directory

- If the Cayosoft Administrator service is running you will see this information message - click Ok

Installing the Exchange Online PowerShell module

Navigate to C:\Program Files\Cayo Software\AdminAssistant and run Cayo.CheckPreRequisites:
- Click the link to install the Exchange Online PowerShell module (EXO V3).

If the Cayosoft Administrator service is running you will see this information message - click Ok:
- Exchange Online PowerShell module (EXO V3) will be installed.

Run the Cayosoft Administrator service if it was stopped.
Installing Microsoft Teams module for Windows PowerShell

Navigate to C:\Program Files\Cayo Software\AdminAssistant and run Cayo.CheckPreRequisites:
- Click the link to install the Microsoft Teams PowerShell module.

If Cayosoft Administrator service is running you will see this information message - click Ok:
- Microsoft Teams PowerShell module will be installed.

Run Cayosoft Administrator service if it was stopped.
Installing components for working with SharePoint Online
Both the SharePoint Client-Side Object Model and SharePoint Online Management Shell are required for Cayosoft Administrator to connect to and manage SharePoint Online service within Microsoft Office 365 extension.
Often, when these components are installed, Cayosoft Administrator Service can't determine them at once, in this case, the system should be rebooted.
Installing SharePoint Client-Side Object Model (CSOM)

Navigate to C:\Program Files\Cayo Software\AdminAssistant and run Cayo.CheckPreRequisites
