Windows LAPS (Microsoft 365)

Use the Windows LAPS web action to force the expiration of the current local administrator password and trigger the automatic generation of a new password for computers joined to Azure Active Directory. This action ensures that the local administrator account passwords are regularly updated and secured through the Cayosoft Administrator Web Portal, leveraging Microsoft’s Local Administrator Password Solution (LAPS).

Limit scope to this domain OU	Specify an Organizational Unit (OU) to limit the scope of this action to only the computers within the selected OU. This helps narrow down the target systems that will have their local administrator passwords expired and regenerated.

Override Active Directory domains	If your environment spans multiple Active Directory domains, use this field to override the default domain. This allows the action to be applied to computers in a different domain from the one the web action is running against.
Show Ticket input field	Enable this option to display a ticket input field, allowing users to enter a relevant ticket or reference number. This field is useful for tracking the action in alignment with support or change management processes.
Show Comment input field	Enable this option to provide a field for users to enter comments or additional details related to the password expiration action. This is helpful for adding context or explanations when the action is executed.
