Summary: The Cayosoft Administrator Web Portal requires several MIME types be enabled within Microsoft Internet Information Services. These items are typically enabled by default, but may have been adjusted by an administrator in the past. In this case you can see odd characters in Web Interface if you are using Internet Explorer:
Required MIME Types that should be present:
- *.ttf image/tiff
- *.svg image/svg+xml
- *.woff font/xwoff
- *.eot application/vnd.ms-fontobject
To resolve the issue:
-
From the Windows Server Manager, Open Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager
-
Click the server name to select it.
-
Double-click MIME Types
-
Verify each of the MIME types are present. If one ore more types is missing, add that type according to Microsoft suggested procedures.
-
In Internet Explorer check whether font download is enabled:
-
Open Internet options
-
Click Security
-
Click Internet
-
Click Custom level
-
Navigate to Downloads > Font Download > Enable
-
Save changes
