Overview
The Service Account used by the Cayosoft Administrator controls all aspects of the administration service's activity. There are two places that must be updated when changing the service account. This article assumes the account has the necessary rights or permissions to function properly. For more information on account requirements see the Service Account Requirements section at the bottom of the Cayosoft Administrator Home Page.
Changing the server service account
- From the Server Manager choose Tools > Services.
- Locate and select Cayosoft Administrator Service.
- Right-click the Cayosoft Administrator Service and choose Properties.
- Click the Logon tab at the top of the dialog box.
- Browser for the new service account and enter/confirm the new password.
- Click OK.
- Right-click the service and select Restart the service.
- Verify the service restarts properly.
Changing the service account used by the Active Directory Extension
- Open the Cayosoft Administration Console.
- In the navigation tree on the left, expand Home > Configuration > Connected Systems Extensions > Active Directory.
- On the Active Directory page click the ... button to the right of the credentials (shown above in red).
- Select the new service account and enter the new password.
- Click OK.
- Click Save Changes at the bottom of the page.
- In the Action pane on the right click Check Settings to verify the account credentials are correct.
Changing the service account used by the Exchange On-Premises Extension
- Open the Cayosoft Administration Console.
- In the navigation tree on the left, expand Home > Configuration > Connected Systems Extensions > Microsoft Exchange.
- On the Microsoft Exchange page click the ... button to the right of the existing credentials (shown above in red).
- Enter the name of the new service account and the password.
- Click OK.
- Click Save Changes at the bottom of the page.
- In the Action pane on the right click Check Settings to verify the account credentials are correct.
