Create a new contact
-
Click the Active Directory administrative unit then click AD Contact
-
On the Actions menu, click New Contact
-
Enter contact first name and last name
-
Select contact email: None, External, Internal
Note: if you select None type the contact will be created without email address and other exchange attributes. This type can be used if you have no exchange attributes in your AD schema.
Contact with External type will be created with a email address, alias and proxy addresses, but other exchange-related attributes won't be set and no Exchange commands will be performed during creation. This type can be useful if you have your AD schema extended by exchange attributes, but don't have Exchange server in your environment or exchange extension is disabled in Cayosoft Administrator.
Contact with Internal type will have email address and all attributes required for correct object management in Exchange server. So, if you have Exchange on-premises server and Exchange extension configured in Cayosoft Administrator we recommend to create Internal contact type.
Possible contact types on the form can be configured via Attribute policy. -
