Rule description
This rule enforces Office 365 licenses to the Office 365 accounts during new user creation in Active Directory, cloning users, or enable mailbox actions.
An instance of the rule is automatically created during installation under the HOME > RULES > WebAdmin Rules (Pre-configured) folder. This instance is linked to the New User | Create Office 365 User rule as a post-action rule in the Rules to run after section.
When to use this rule
You typically do not need to create an instance of this rule, as it is automatically created during installation and linked to the New User | Create Office 365 User rule for the automatic execution for every new Office 365 user account created with the rule. See the New User | Create Office 365 User rule article for details.
Configure this rule to automatically assign Office 365 licenses to new accounts created with New User (AD), Clone user, and Enable Mailbox actions in Web UI. You also need to set the Hybrid License Options setting on these Web UI actions to the Use automated license rule option.
In this case, Office 356 licenses, selected in the rule, will be automatically assigned to the new user account, and license selection would not be displayed on the user interface.
