Rule description
This rule is used in a hybrid environment. It adds remote mailboxes to the newly created Active Directory Users.
When to use this rule
Use this rule when you need to create Exchange remote mailboxes to Active Directory users.
By default, this rule is used in a hybrid environment as a post-rule for these web-actions:
- New User
- Clone User
- New User with Linked Mailbox
- New Linked Mailbox
- New Equipment Mailbox
- New Room Mailbox
- New Shared Mailbox
- Enable Mailbox
It adds remote mailboxes to Active Directory users, created by these actions if needed. It is also possible to assign mailbox license option during new user creation.
This rule fills in the corresponding Exchange on-premises attributes on the user's Active Directory account. It allows seeing users' remote mailboxes in the on-premises Exchange Admin Center.
