New Features in 5.4
Web Portal SSO
Automatic user sign-in was added to the Web Portal for Active Directory user accounts. This provides a seamless Single-Sign-On (SSO) experience for administrators and self-service users who sign-on from a domain-joined machine.
Free Active Directory Management Tools
After completion of the free 25-day Full Trial, Cayosoft Administrator 5.4.2 switches to Community Freeware mode. In Community Freeware Mode you can delegate and manage Active Directory using the Web Portal and get reports about your Active Directory, Office 365 and Exchange environment. No license is required for the Community Freeware Mode.
Hybrid & Cloud Group Certification
Cayosoft Administrator 5.4.0 now provides Group Certification (attestation and re-certification) to allow group owners to confirm both the accuracy and the continued existence of their on-premises and/or online groups.
Self-Service for Office 365 Unified Groups
Group owners of Office 365 Unified Groups are now able to manage these groups along-side on-premises groups.
2019 Server Support
Cayosoft Administrator now supports both Windows Server 2019 and Microsoft Exchange Server 2019.
Hybrid Exchange Resource Forest Support
Cayosoft Administrator now supports the Multi-forest Single Microsoft Exchange Organization model often referred to as a Microsoft Exchange Resource Forest. Cayosoft Administrator, when deployed in the same forest as the Microsoft Exchange Organization supports for critical scenarios:

Linking a mailbox to an existing user that resides in a separate trusted authentication forest domain and then managing that user’s mailbox.

Linking a remote mailboxes + an Office 365 mailbox (Hybrid Exchange) to an existing user that resides in a separate trusted authentication forest domain and then managing that user’s mailbox and Office 365 license.

Improved Hybrid Office 365 License Quotas
Cayosoft Administrator now provides tighter control over sub-dividing tenant licenses across departments, agencies, offices or other logical or geographical groupings with improved License Quota configuration and Reporting. New customers will find that they now can easily define and maintain delegation and license quotas in their Hybrid Office 365 Environment. Customers with existing delegation easily add license quota limits to their Administrative Units to follow the existing delegation model – or – new Administrative Units can be created that will be used only for license management.
Better Office 365 License Quota Reporting & Charge-back Billing
With improved configuration and management of Office 365 License Quotas also come improved Quota Reporting for Licensing Administrators and Quota License Charge-back Reporting for management. Now if a license assignment is approaching a quota limit, automatic alerting will send the license admins a notification, so they recover existing licenses or obtain additional licenses before hitting the quota limit.
Cayosoft Web Portal DynamicAttributes
Using the Cayosoft Administrator Dynamic Attribute capabilities, customers are now able to dynamically define default values based on the organizational unit selected when a new user is created in the Cayosoft Web Portal.
Self-Service Password Management
In addition to great self-service group management, Cayosoft Administrator now provides a terrific update that greatly improves end-user password self-service. New features include simplified enrollment management, improved options for defining Question & Answer Profiles, an end-user question that can be used by help desk to verify a caller’s identity and improved wording and guidance for users throughout the enrollment, password recovery or change processes.
Independent Office 365 Administration
Cayosoft Administrator is now available at every point of the IT Cloud Journey. Office 365 & Azure AD direct management may now be performed by delegated admins from within the Cayosoft Web Portal even if On-premises platform extensions are not configured. Further, the web portal may be configured to authenticate delegated users against Azure Active Directory.
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Management
Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is a system that requires more than one method of authentication to verify the user’s identity for a login or other transaction. Cayosoft Administrator now allows delegated administrators to enable/disable Office 365 MFA or a using a rule in the Automation & Configuration Console.
Skype Online Policy Enforcement
Setting Skype Online Policies consistently for new and existing users can be a challenge. This release adds both automation rules to configure Audio and Video, External Access and Audio Conference Settings during user provisioning & updates. Additionally, The Web Portal has also been extended with a new Skype Properties command allowing delegated day-to-day administrators to make such adjustments manually.
LAPS Password Retrieval
The “Local Administrator Password Solution” (LAPS) provides management of local account passwords of domain-joined computers. Cayosoft Administrator now allows LAPS Passwords stored in Active Directory (AD) to be retrieved by delegated administrators.
Updated Download Package
When running the latest Cayosoft Unified Installer package, three new options appear based on the desired deployment mode. On-preemies, Hybrid or Cloud. Each option walks through the particulars for that specific deployment choice.
