Office 365 Recipients Email Applications Usage rule

Rule description

This rule queries Microsoft Office 365 recipients and lists their email applications used within the specified number of days.

When to use this rule

Use this rule to understand the activity overview across the Office 365 products in your organization.

The report shows how many email apps are connecting to Exchange Online and the protocols that were used. For more details, please see Microsoft Office 365 Reports in the Admin Center - Email apps usage article.

Note: The reports usually reflect a 24 to 48-hour latency from time of activity. At times there may be unpredictable delays in data collection and processing which may delay report generation. The displayed report date is always reflective of the current date for which the system has processed report data.

Rule Settings

Query Section

Setting name	Description
Reporting period (days)	Specify the reporting period: 7 days, 30 days, 90 days, or 180 days.
Other Query Settings
Properties to display	To display additional properties for each object found by the query, add those properties to the list.
Post-query filter	To hide unwanted data based on Reporting period searching criteria set the filtering conditions here. Example: filter by the found object Distinguished Name.
Sort by	Sort result object list.
Order	Specify sorting order: ascending or descending.
