Oracle Database Membership Rule Command (Active Directory)
This membership rule command updates the Active Directory Dynamic Group membership based on a query to Oracle Database tables.
NOTE: This feature requires the Cayosoft Administrator Enterprise version.
Membership Rule Command Settings
| Setting name | Description |
|---|---|
Service name (Database) |
Specify the Oracle database service name. |
Table |
Specify Table or View from the selected database. Click the Selector button to display a list of tables from which to choose. |
Data Source Filter |
You can use the point-and-click filter builder for the specified data source. NOTE: If the Where Clause is also specified, it will be applied and the DataSource Filter will be ignored. |
Data Source Anchor attribute |
Defines the column in the Data Source that will be used to determine if the user account already exists. This value is compared to the Active Directory Anchor Attribute. Because user names are likely to have duplicates, some other attribute with a unique value should be used to determine if records read from the Data Source have already been processed. |
Active Directory Anchor attribute |
Defines the attribute in the Active Directory to which the Data Source anchor attribute is to be compared. |
Limit AD scope to this domain or OU |
This setting defines the search query scope. To improve query performance, limit the scope to specific OU. |
Active Directory query criteria |
Query criteria are sent with the query and may improve query performance. |
| More Parameters | |
Hostname |
Specify Oracle server hostname (or its IP address) to which Cayosoft Administrator will connect. By default, the value is taken from the Utils extension settings. NOTE: For more information, please read the Connecting to Oracle database article. |

Specify Oracle user account name and password. |
Service name |
Specify the Oracle database service name. |
Port |
Specify Oracle SQL*Net Listener port number; the default is 1521. |
Data Source Where clause |
Define a WHERE statement in the query sent to the data source to limit the rows returned by the Oracle Server. NOTE: If the Datasource filter is also specified, it will be ignored. |
| Override Data Source SELECT clause |
Define a SELECT statement to override all query settings, including SQL table, Data Source filter, and Data Source WHERE clause. IMPORTANT: The statement must include a Data Source Anchor attribute column in the result set matching the attribute name in the Data Source Anchor attribute field. |
| Limit SQL query results | Specify a number of records to limit query results. |
| Oracle timeout | Oracle connection timeout. |
| Properties to display | Select properties to display for each object found by the query. |
