Configure an SMTP Connector
Configuring an SMTP connector immediately enables sending alerts and reports from Cayosoft Guardian.
Add an SMTP Connection Account:
- Open Cayosoft Guardian Web Portal
- Expand the Configuration node
- Click on the Credentials node under the Configuration node
- Press New and then select Password Credential in the dropdown menu
- Add credentials to access your SMTP server using Generic value for the Type field
Configure an SMTP Connector:
- Expand the Configuration node
- Open the Communication Channels node under the Configuration node
- Select SMTP Communication Channel and press Properties
- Enter the connection settings and select credentials created earlier
- Save changes
- Press Set as mail default link on the top of the properties pane if it is available
- Test connector settings using the Test button
