Rule description
Each scheduled operation (including Scheduled Suspend\Undo Suspend) creates a Work Item that will be processed by the Process scheduled suspend operations rule. The Process scheduled suspend operations rule must be enabled and scheduled for this to work correctly. Canceling the scheduled operation will cancel all work items for the object (they will appear in the object's Change History).
When you schedule a suspend or undo suspend, Cayosoft Administrator creates a work item for this operation under the hood. This work items contain a date and time that you selected on the interface, the object name and some other useful information.
The rule 'Process scheduled suspend operations' goes through all suspend/undo suspend work items during its execution and compares the current date and time with the ones that are set in the work item itself. If the date in the work item is in the past, the rule performs the suspend or undo suspend operation. If the date has not yet arrived, then the object remains unchanged.
So, you need to schedule the rule to run daily, or hourly if you want your scheduled suspends to be processed more closely to the time selected in the time picker on the form.
When to use this rule
Use this rule when you need to process scheduled suspend or undo suspend operations on Active Directory objects or Microsoft 365 users, according to the time set on the object. For more information, please see this article: New Suspend Configuration – Cayosoft Help Center.
