AD Users | Self-Service Enrollment Reminder Notification rule
Rule description
This rule queries Active Directory within the defined scope, returns all user accounts, then optionally identifies who has been invited to the Self-Service interface with the Welcome email, and who did not enroll, and sends them an enrollment reminder notification email.
NOTE: Default URLs use HTTPS due to Cayosoft’s requirement to use SSL on all Cayosoft Web Sites. Failure to enable SSL on your Cayosoft Servers will cause the link sent in this e-mail to fail when users click the link.
When to use this rule
Use this rule to remind users to enroll in Cayosoft Self-Service, after a Welcome message is sent with the AD Users | Self-Service Enrollment Welcome Notification rule. Also, use this rule to remind all users to enroll.
The rule queries Active Directory and then determines the user enrollment status by checking if specific self-service attributes have been populated on that user account. Then, the rule sends a reminder email to those users, with an option to send the reminder to all such users or only to those who were previously invited to the Self-Service with the Welcome email.
It is possible to set the number of days to wait for the user to enroll after the user receives an initial Welcome email message. It is also possible to define the number of reminder emails for the user.
The number of new users to receive a reminder message can be limited for each run, to reduce the potential load on the Help Desk.
The Self-Service Web Interface URL is defined in the Cayosoft Administrator Console under Configuration > General > Web Portal Settings.
You should delegate users the required set of permissions to enroll and use the Self-Service interface. You also should define end-user questions and set a data encryption password. See Delegate access to Self-Service Password & Profile management and Сonfiguration of Self-Service password & profile management articles.

| Setting name | Description |
|---|---|
Limit scope to this domain or OU |
This setting defines the search query scope. To improve query performance, limit the scope to a specific OU. IMPORTANT: To test the rule configuration, limit the rule scope to an OU that contains test accounts or objects and use the Preview feature. |
AD query criteria |
Query criteria are sent with the query and may improve query performance. TIP: For additional information on the criteria builder, see the How to use Query Builder dialog for Query Criteria and Filter rule settings. |
Filter AD query results |
To hide unwanted data based on criteria, not supported by the Active Directory query, set the filtering conditions here. Example: filter by the found object Distinguished Name. TIP: For optimal performance, use Query criteria above to filter objects whenever possible. |
|
Limit new user invites
|
Limit the number of new users invited for enrollment on each run, for example daily. TIP: A certain percentage of users would have questions about the Self-Service interface. Such users might start escalating these questions to the Help Desk, causing a spike in the volume of support calls. Use this parameter to manage the impact on the user base and regulate the potential amount of Help Desk calls. |
