Maximum SamAccountName length |
Cayosoft Administrator has 20 character limitation as this is Microsoft's recommendation for backward compatibility. For more details, please see this article: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms679635(v=vs.85).aspx This is not a hard limit and you can increase the maximum number of allowed characters using the Cayosoft Administrator Attribute Policy. |

For information on these settings, please refer to the User Name Generation rules described in the Active Directory extension. |
Primary email prefix generation rule |
Note: The primary email prefix generation rule works only if the option to 'Show email prefix and suffix controls' is set to Yes. in all other cases, an email will be generated automatically as UserPrincipalName (UPN) regardless of its generation rule.
By Microsoft convention, UserPrincipalName should map to the user's email name. The point of the UPN is to consolidte the email and logon name spaces so that the user only needs to remember a single name. |

For information on these settings, please refer to the Other User Provisioning Settings description in the Active Directory extension. |

Other Attributes |
|
Other Attribute 1 - Other Attribute 20 |
If you use Active Directory extension attributes to store additional information for user accounts, you could select these attributes and map them to Other Attributes. For details please see this KB article. To set labels or default values for these attributes, please use Attribute Policies. |
Virtual Attributes |
|
Virtual Attribute 1 - Virtual Attribute 25 |
Virtual Attributes allow extending the attribute list for users in Active Directory without extending the Active Directory schema. Select the virtual attributes from the list and map them to Virtual Attribute 1 - Virtual Attribute 25. For more details, please see Configuring Virtual Attributes article. |
DynamicAttribute Mapping |
|
Data Source Separator used in file Column name > Attribute Mapping (optional) |
If the user's properties depend on its organizational unit, then when creating a new user in Web Interface, it would be convenient to populate the default attribute values such as Department, Office, etc depending on the user's organizational unit. Dynamic Attribute Mapping solves this problem. For configuration, please see Dynamic attribute mapping in the Web Interface article. |
Custom Generation Tokens |
|
Custom Generation Tokens |
Custom generation tokens allow using the values of the attributes of the user who is running the action (initiator) in the Attribute Policies that are applied to the creation of Active Directory and Office 365 objects. Custom generation tokens should be set in the corresponding Web Action configuration form. Example: {@{'InitiatorDepartment'=GetInitiatorProperty('department')}} After that InitiatorDepartment token can be used in Attribute Policy that is applied to this Web Action.
