Configuration: Cayosoft Guardian Licensing

The Cayosoft Guardian web portal can be accessed by acquiring and activating the product license key either online by navigating through the Product Activation wizard or offline by acquiring the license file.

When installing Cayosoft Guardian for the first time, a trial version of the product will be available by request. This functional version will last 25 days, after which the user can use the product in freeware mode, which is not time-limited but has limitations. The list of all limitations can be provided by request.

This article provides an overview of the licensing activation process.

Activating license online

After the installation or upgrade, users will see the Welcome to Cayosoft Guardian screen. To activate the product and acquire the license key:

1. Click Activate product. The Product Activation wizard will open.

 

2. On the License Agreement page, read and accept the agreement by enabling the corresponding checkbox, and click Next.

3. Select the installation type and click Next:
   • Test - used for test environments
   • Production - used for managing production AD/Entra ID environments

 

4. Enter your corporate email address and click Next. An email will be sent to the specified email address with the activation code.

Licenses are assigned to an organization, not to individual users. Each organization will have a dedicated license, which can be activated by users within that organization.

5. Copy the activation code from the email, paste it here, and click Next.

 

Now, you have full access to all features available within your subscription.

Managing licenses

To manage licenses:

1. Navigate to Settings > License. Here the list of all active subscriptions can be found.

 

Here, the following actions can be performed:

1. Renew subscription.
2. Sync the subscription list with the other subscriptions within the organization.
3. Export the licensing info.
4. Manage the subscription list by filtering, searching, and applying Advanced filters to the subscriptions.
