Backing up and handling Cayosoft Administrator databases
Overview
In some cases, you might need to back up the Cayosoft Administrator configuration and databases. This could be done to back up settings or send the databases to the Support team to diagnose issues. This article lists the steps to back up the Cayosoft Administrator databases.
List of databases
IMPORTANT: The Cayosoft Administrator databases are compatible only with the version of Cayosoft Administrator in which they were created or last upgraded.

Configuration (Cayo.PolicyManager.db)
Rule Execution History (Cayo.PolicyManager.RH.db)
Management History (Cayo.PolicyManager.MH.db)
Analytics Data (Cayo.PolicyManager.TimeSavings.db)
Service Adoption (Cayo.PolicyManager.ServiceAdoption.db)
Work Items (Cayo.PolicyManager.WorkItems.db)
Virtual Attributes (Cayo.PolicyManager.Va.db)
Reports (Cayo.PolicyManager.Reports.db)
Processes (Cayo.PolicyManager.ServiceAudit.db)
Backup databases
On your Cayosoft Administrator server, start the Cayosoft Administrator console.
Navigate to Home > Configuration > Settings > Configuration Databases. Export the encryption key by clicking Export key—save both password and the key to use later.
Quit the Cayosoft Administrator console and stop the Cayosoft Administrator Service: navigate to the Services snap-in, right-click the service and click Stop.

On your Cayosoft Administrator server, navigate to the following path to locate Cayosoft Administrator databases:
C:\Program Files\Cayo Software\AdminAssistant. Locate the files listed in the List of databases section and back up the files to a secure location.
NOTE: To share the database files with the Cayosoft Support team, send the compressed .db files in the .zip format. If the archive is too large to be sent via email, let us know, and we will provide an online upload location.
Perform a rollback
Stop the Cayosoft Administrator Service: navigate to the Services snap-in, right-click the service and click Stop.

Replace the existing databases with the backed up files in the following folder:
C:\Program Files\Cayo Software\AdminAssistant. Start the Cayosoft Administrator Service.
Navigate to Home > Configuration > Settings > Configuration Databases. Import the encryption key by clicking Import key—provide both key and password.
