Configuration: How to modify proxy settings

In an environment with a proxy server, Cayosoft Guardian must be pre-configured in order to connect to Entra ID tenant, Azure resources and other cloud services. This article describes how to modify proxy settings for Cayosoft Guardian service.

NOTE: The Cayosoft Guardian Forest Recovery agent does not yet support environments with proxy servers. In environments with a proxy server, the agent can't upload backups to the cloud directly. If you want to back up your domain controllers to the cloud storage, a staging network storage has to be added to the backup plan. How to modify proxy settings

1. Open the Cayosoft Guardian web portal.

2. Expand the Settings node.

3. Expand the Service Settings node.

4. Select Network Settings.

5. Click Properties.

6. Under Proxy settings, enable the Use a proxy server checkbox.

7. Specify address, port, and credentials.

8. Click Save.

9. Click Restart Service and confirm the restart.

10. Refresh the browser.

11. Wait until Cayosoft Guardian web portal re-appears.
