Configuration: Add a user to Cayosoft Guardian
This article describes how to add a user to Cayosoft Guardian and assign a role.
Built-in roles
Cayosoft Guardian includes the following built-in roles.
| Role | Description |
|---|---|
| Global Administrator | Full access to all features and settings in Cayosoft Guardian. Can manage system configuration, security, and all user roles. |
| Global Reader | Read-only access to all areas in Cayosoft Guardian, including configuration and monitoring data. Cannot create configuration objects, such as managed systems, jobs, and alerting rules, or make changes to managed systems, such as rollbacks and recoveries. |
| Change History Reader | Can review the full history of configuration and object changes across connected systems. |
| Change Monitoring Operator | Can manage change monitoring, review changes, and manage alerts. |
| Threat Alerts Reader | Can review all detected threats and alert details. Cannot modify or resolve alerts. |
| Threat Detection Operator | Can manage threat detection jobs, configure notifications, and mark threats as resolved. |
Add a user
- Open the Cayosoft Guardian web portal.
- Expand the Settings node.
- Select the Delegation node.
- In the grid, click Add.
- Complete the required fields.
- In the Role field, select the role to assign to the user.
- Click Create.
The user is added to Cayosoft Guardian and is granted the permissions associated with the selected role.
