New Distribution Group web action
Overview
Use this action to create a new distribution group in the Cayosoft AdministratorWeb Portal.

The default value is Use Web Query Default Domain. Usually, this is the Default Active Directory domain that is defined in the Active Directory extension. |
Validate suffix with Office 365 |
Used for hybrid Exchange environments only. When set to Yes, the action will not allow a suffix that isn't listed as a valid domain for the Microsoft 365 tenant. |
Also validate email uniqueness in the cloud |
Specify if email uniqueness should be also validated in the cloud. |

User can set additional owners |
Specify if the user can set additional owners during group creation. |
Require additional owners |
Specify if additional owners are required. |
Create groups using Active Directory |
Used only when Exchange extension is configured. Yes will override Exchange and the group will be created directly in Active Directory without calling Exchange. If set to No, the group will be created through the Exchange server. |
Group name prefix |
You could set a group name prefix for all created groups. |
Enforce Group name prefix |
If the group name prefix is specified, you could enforce the Group name prefix to the group alias or to all group naming attributes. |
Set creator as manager |
Set this setting to No if you don't need the distribution group creator will be the manager of this group. The default value is Yes. |
User can set OU |
Set this setting to No if you need to restrict setting OU during distribution group creation. The default value is Yes. |
User can set group type |
Set this setting to No if you need to restrict changing the group type during distribution group creation. The default value is Yes. |
Delay sync attribute flag |
If the distribution group type is set to Microsoft 365 (Exchange Remote), use this setting to configure ENtra ID Connect and the Cayosoft Administrator Service to delay the synchronization of newly created distribution groups until they can be seen properly by Entra ID Connect. Select whether prohibited or allowed the symbols specified in the settings below. The default value is Prohibited. |

Enter prohibited symbols without spaces or if using the Allowable option, enter a regular expression enclosed in single quote marks. By default, the prohibited symbols are '@' and '–'. |

Enable automatic email address updates by address policy |
If the Exchange address policy is applied, it generates email addresses, mail, and other proxy addresses automatically. The custom-generated values that are configured in the Cayosoft Administrator Service will be ignored. For more information, please see this article: Default email address policy. |

Virtual Attributes allow extending the attribute list for groups in Active Directory without extending the Active Directory schema. Select the virtual attributes from the list and map them to Virtual Attribute 1 - Virtual Attribute 25. For more details, please see the Virtual Attributes article. |

Custom generation tokens allow using the values of the attributes of the user who is running the action (initiator) in the Attribute policies that are applied to the creation of Active Directory and Microsoft 365 objects. Custom generation tokens should be set in corresponding Web Action configuration form. Example:
