Disabling jobs and channels in Cayosoft Guardian
This article provides step-by-step instructions for disabling specific actions and collection jobs in Cayosoft Guardian. This may be necessary when removing certain permissions. For a list of required permissions, see Planning and preparation: Cayosoft Guardian system requirement.
Disabling actions in collection jobs
To disable actions in the collection job:
- Open the Cayosoft Guardian web portal.
- Expand Configuration node.
- Select the Jobs node.
- Locate Entra IDChange Collection.
- Select the job and click Properties.
- Find an action for a specific object type and disable it.
- Save changes.
Disabling Collect Office 365 Unified Log action in Entra Event Collection job
To disable the Event Collection job:
- Open the Cayosoft Guardian web portal.
- Expand Configuration node.
- Select the Jobs node.
- Locate Entra ID Event Collection.
- Select the job and click Properties.
- Disable the Collect Office 365 Unified Log action.
- Save changes.
Disabling Entra Audit Log Collection action in Entra Event Collection job
- Open the Cayosoft Guardian web portal.
- Expand Configuration node.
- Select the Jobs node.
- Locate Entra ID Event Collection.
- Select the job and click Properties.
- Disable the Collect Office 365 Unified Log action.
- Save changes.
Disabling Teams Change Collection job
To disable the Teams Change Collection job:
- Open the Cayosoft Guardian web portal.
- Expand Configuration node.
- Select the Jobs node.
- Locate Teams Change Collection.
- Select the job and click Properties.
- Enable the Disabled checkbox.
- Save changes.
Disabling Exchange Online Change Collection job
To disable the Exchange Online Change Collection job:
- Open the Cayosoft Guardian web portal.
- Expand Configuration node.
- Select the Jobs node.
- Locate Exchange Online Change Collection.
- Select the job and click Properties.
- Enable the Disabled checkbox.
- Save changes.
Disabling Communication Channel
To disable the Communication Channel:
- Open the Cayosoft Guardian web portal.
- Expand Configuration node.
- Select the Communication Channel node.
- Select the channel and click Properties.
- Enable the Disabled checkbox.
- Save changes.
