How to use filter by Organizational Units in AD Web Queries in the Web Portal

Overview

Delegated administrators can filter Active Directory objects by Organizational Units (OU) in AD Web queries in the Web Portal. Using this filter allows delegated administrators to limit the search scope to a specific OU inside the managed scope and not to search for specific objects in the entire managed scope.

NOTE: The Global Search web queries don't have an OUs filter.

Step-by-step instruction

Sign in to the Web Portal as a delegated administrator.
Click the AD Users web query, for example.
Click the Filter icon to display the filter if it is not displayed by default.
Click the Organizational Unit filter. You will see the list of OUs included in your delegated scope.
Select the OU to limit the search scope and click Search. Objects from the selected OU will be displayed.
You can search for specific users in the selected OU.
