Track errors with Execution History | Notify Administrator About Errors rule
Summary: You can configure the Execution History | Notify Administrator About Errors rule to be notified if any of the rules that are configured in your environment produced an error during execution.
This article contains step-by-step instructions on how to configure this rule.
Applies to: Cayosoft Administrator 7.x or later.
Configuration
NOTE: You typically do not need to create an instance of this rule, as it is automatically created during installation under RULES > Built-in Rules (Pre-configured) folder.
If you don't want to be notified about the errors in some rules you should add their names or IDs to the Exclude errors in these rules setting. Specify one rule name per line or split rule names by ';' char.
You can update the Output section: specify recipients, customize notification subject, and message. For more details please see this article Customizing an automation rule or web action output email.
Schedule the rule.
Save changes.
Each time when the rule runs it reports only about those rule errors that have occurred since its last run.
Rule execution history
When viewing Automation Rules or Web Action Rules in the Cayosoft Administrator Console, the last five rule execution results are displayed at the bottom right corner of the screen.
List entries with a green indicator mean that the rule ran successfully.
Entries with a red indicator mean there was some issue that may need attention. Clicking an entry will display the associated Execution History Report. Fore more details about Execution History, review the following article: Auditing Cayosoft Administrator with Change History and Execution History.
