Rule description

The rule updates or clears the organizational attributes for Microsoft 365 users in the managed tenant.

Use this rule when you need to automate the update of organization attributes in Microsoft 365 users:

Filter users by the account state and assign a new department value to disabled users on value difference.
Filter users by the city and assign a new street address to active users, if the address value is empty.

Setting name	Description
MS365 query criteria	Filter the initial Microsoft 365 query.
MS365 post-query filter	Set additional filtering conditions to hide returned Microsoft 365 data, if some criteria are not supported by the MS365 query criteria setting. The list of predefined filters includes the following: No filtering applied Password never expires Licensed Unlicensed
Account state	Define the target MS365 account state: Enabled Disabled
MS365 properties to display	Specify the MS365 properties to display for each returned object.
Other query settings	Sort the resulting list of objects by the MS365 properties.
Sort by	Sort the resulting list of objects by the MS365 properties.
Limit result set	Define the maximum number of users returned from Microsoft 365. TIP: It is possible to change the default value in Microsoft 365 extension settings.

Update method	Define the rule logic when updating organizational attributes of target users: Always update—overwrite an attribute value in every case. Only update empty values—write an attribute when no value is assigned. Only update on value difference—overwrite an attribute value if the current attribute differs from the target value.
