Work with Office 365 groups
New Microsoft 365 Group
Use this action to create a new Microsoft 365 (unified) group in Azure AD.
Click the Microsoft 365 Administrative Unit
Select the Groups-Office web query. This web query represents Microsoft 365 (Azure AD Unified) groups.
On the Actions menu, click New Microsoft 365 Group.
Enter Group Name.
Verify or change the names generated for Alias and Group Email Address.
Verify and change Language and Privacy.
Click Next.
Specify Group Settings.
Click Next.
Specify group Owners.
Click Create.
New Security Group
Use this action to create a new Security group in Azure AD.
Click the Microsoft 365 Administrative Unit.
Select the Groups-Security web query. This web query represents Azure AD Security Group.
On the Actions menu, click New Security Group.
Enter Group Name.
Click Next.
Specify group Owners.
Click Create.
New Distribution List
Use this action to create a new Distribution list or Mail-Enabled Security group in Azure AD.
Click the Microsoft 365 Administrative Unit.
Select the Groups-Distribution web query. This web query represents Exchange Online Distribution Lists and Mail-Enabled Security Groups.
On the Actions menu, click New Distribution List.
Enter Group Name.
Verify or change the names generated for Alias and Primary SMTP Prefix.
Choose the Group Type if needed.
Specify Manager if needed.
Click Create.
Delete a group
Use this action to delete a group in Azure AD.
NOTE: Deleting a group is a permanent action that cannot be undone. Only Microsoft 365 group type can be restored through Recycle Bin.

Click the Microsoft 365 Administrative Unit then select one of available web queries:
Groups (represents all group types),
Groups-Distribution (represents Exchange Online Distribution Lists and Mail-Enabled Security Groups),
Groups-Office (represents Microsoft 365 groups) or
Groups-Security (represents Security groups).
Enter the name of the group in the search field and click Search Objects.
Click the checkbox to the left of the group name.
On the Actions menu, click Delete.
Enter a comment that will be recorded in the operational history log.
Click Delete.
View Group Properties
Use this action to view and modify a group properties in Azure AD.

Click the Microsoft 365 Administrative Unit then select one of available web queries:
Groups (represents all group types),
Groups-Distribution (represents Exchange Online Distribution Lists and Mail-Enabled Security Groups),
Groups-Office (represents Microsoft 365 groups) or
Groups-Security (represents Security groups).
Enter the name of the group in the search field and click Search Objects.
Click the checkbox to the left of the group name.
On the Actions menu, click Properties.
View Mail Properties
Use this action to view or modify mail properties of distribution lists, mail-enabled security groups or Microsoft 365 groups.

Click the Microsoft 365 Administrative Unit then select one of available web queries:
Groups (represents all group types),
Groups-Distribution (represents Exchange Online Distribution Lists and Mail-Enabled Security Groups) or
Groups-Office (represents Microsoft 365 groups).
Enter the name of the group in the search field and click Search Objects.
Click the checkbox to the left of the group name.
On the Actions menu, click Mail Properties.
Membership
Use this action to view and modify a group membership in Azure AD.

Click the Microsoft 365 Administrative Unit then select one of available web queries:
Groups (represents all group types),
Groups-Distribution (represents Exchange Online Distribution Lists and Mail-Enabled Security Groups),
Groups-Office (represents Microsoft 365 groups) or
Groups-Security (represents Security groups).
Enter the name of the group in the search field and click Search Objects.
Click the checkbox to the left of the group name.

On the Actions menu, click Membership.
To Add a User(s) to the Group:
Click +Add.
Enter the name of the user in the search field and click Search Objects.
Select the User(s) by clicking the check to the left of the name.
Click OK.
To Remove a User(s) from the Group:
Click the checkmark to the left of the user’s name then click the Remove button.
Click Update to save changes to the group.
Add members from file
Use this action to add members to Microsoft 365 group from the file. For details, please see Add group members from file.
AAD Admniistrative Units

AAD Administrative Units web action can be used in these web queries:
Users
Groups
Teams
Guest users
Enter the name of the object in the search field and click Search Objects.
Click the checkbox to the left of the object’s name.
On the Actions menu, click AAD Administrative Units.

If the Parent container Azure AD Administrative Unit is not set, you can click Change and select the parent container.
NOTE: Only Azure AD Administrative Units that are marked Treat as Container can be selected as parent container.
If the selected object is already added to multiple container Azure AD Administrative Units you will see the message that you need to select a single Administrative Unit as a parent.
Click Add to add the selected object to Other Azure AD Administrative Units that are not set as containers.
Move
Enter the name of the object in the search field and click Search Objects.
Click the checkbox to the left of the object’s name.
On the Actions menu, click AAD Administrative Units.

Click Change and select the parent container.
NOTE: Only Azure AD Administrative Units that are marked Treat as Container can be selected as parent container.
If the selected object is already added to multiple container Azure AD Administrative Units you will see the message that you need to select a single Administrative Unit as a parent.
Select the parent container.
Click Update to move the selected object to Parent Container Azure AD Administrative Unit.
