Initial configuration wizard
Overview
During the first launch, Cayosoft Administrator prompts the initial configuration wizard to configure necessary extensions and settings and ensure the intended operation of Cayosoft Administrator. As you complete each step and click Next, the wizard verifies the settings and prompts a message if a change is needed.
IMPORTANT: If you only need to install Client Tools to access the Cayosoft Administrator Service installed on another server, see the following article: How to install the Cayosoft Administrator Console on Admin's Workstation.
Prerequisites
Each extension implements a connection account to connect to the target platform and collect necessary data and allow you to manage it. Connection accounts may require a special role assigned to grant access to the corresponding platform. Prepare for the setup in advance by reviewing the requirements for the connection account.

The wizard steps after the extension selector page depend on the selected extensions. Review the possible combinations and plan your setup accordingly.

Configuration
The initial configuration wizard starts on the first launch:
In the first window, specify an email address to send system notifications and alerts to. Typically, the email belongs to the product administrator. Click Next to proceed.

Enable the required extensions. Click Next to proceed.
NOTE: Alternatively, you can set the extensions manually later.
Configure the selected extensions. If you select no extensions, only the email setup is prompted. Click Next to proceed and complete the configuration wizard.

Active Directory extension page
The Active Directory extension manages objects stored in the on-premise Active Directory. The trusted domains are listed in the Managed domains list, but they Refer to the setup steps:
Specify the connection account for your Active Directory extension by clicking the ... button.
Trusted domains are on the Managed domains list. Select the appropriate domains and define credentials to access the domains.
Optional: If not added automatically, add other domains to be managed by Cayosoft Administrator by clicking the Add button. You can add domains after the initial setup.
Define the DC, alternative DC, and alternative credentials for the domains, if needed.
Define the default region. The setting is used in rules and web actions for user provisioning purposes.

Microsoft 365 extension page
The Microsoft 365 extension manages your Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive platforms. Refer to the setup steps:
Specify an existing connection account for the Microsoft 365 extension or create a new dedicated account by clicking the ... button.
Grant consent to the Cayosoft Administrator Entra app to collect data in your tenant by clicking Find or register the app > Grant consent.
Specify the Azure instance type in the Advanced settings section.
Define the default region. The setting is used in rules and web actions for user provisioning purposes.

Microsoft Exchange extension page
The Exchange extension ensures provisioning, update, suspension, and management of recipients in Microsoft Exchange Server. This includes mailbox-enabled and mail-enabled users, distribution lists, contacts, and shared mailboxes. Refer to the setup steps:
Specify the Exchange credentials.
Specify the Connect URI in the
http://exchangeserver.domain.com/powershell/format.

Email settings page
Cayosoft Administrator uses an SMTP server or Exchange Online to send out notifications and reports to users and administrators. Refer to the setup steps:
IMPORTANT: To use Exchange Online as a mail service, you must first set up the Microsoft 365 extension.
Select the mail service to send out notifications and reports.
Specify the credentials, if applicable.
Specify the default notification and alert recipient.
