Recommendations for Dynamic and Family Groups
As part of Cayosoft Administrator deployment planning, it is important to manage the creation and scheduling of Dynamic Groups (DGs) and Family Groups (FGs) efficiently to avoid performance bottlenecks.
Users have traditionally built complex runbooks using dynamic groups, leading to the creation of numerous groups and rules.
When too many dynamic groups are scheduled, it can create a high load on the Cayosoft Administrator service.
For optimal performance, we recommend setting up a separate server within your domain to handle Dynamic Groups and Family Groups configurations. This server should be dedicated to processing dynamic group rules, reducing the load on your primary Cayosoft Administrator Service and ensuring smoother operation for other administrative tasks.
Optimize scheduling for Rules and Dynamic Groups
Prioritize time-sensitive actions. Schedule non-critical rules (e.g., Dynamic Groups and automation tasks) during off-peak hours to minimize competition for server resources.
Adjust rule execution frequency. Evaluate and optimize the frequency of Dynamic Group updates and other automated rules to reduce overall system load.
