Installation Guidelines
To ensure a smooth installation and optimal performance of Cayosoft Administrator, follow these best practices:
Installation Location
RECOMMENDED: Install Cayosoft Administrator on the system volume (C:). This helps avoid potential issues with accessing data across different partitions or drives.
Space Requirements: Ensure adequate disk space is available on the system volume for the installation and data storage.
Components and File Placement. Understanding where specific files and data are stored will help with space planning and future maintenance:
Default Installation Folder: Cayosoft Administrator's main program files are installed in the default folder (usually under C:\Program Files\AdminAssistant).
Databases:
Configuration Database: Stores system configurations and settings.
Change History Database: Records all changes made through Cayosoft Administrator.
Analytics Collection: Stores analytics and performance data used for reporting and insights.
Logs and Reports: The system generates logs for debugging, monitoring, and auditing, as well as reports on various tasks and queries.
Execution History: Tracks the execution of workflows, rules, and tasks to maintain an audit trail and assist with troubleshooting.
Service Configuration
Default Service Account: The Cayosoft Administrator Service runs under the LocalSystem account by default.
RECOMMENDED: It is advisable to leave the service running as LocalSystem, but after installation, set specific credentials if needed for accessing external resources or managing certain environments.
If the service is changed to run as a user instead of LocalSystem, the next update will revert it back (to LocalSystem).
By adhering to these installation best practices, you can ensure Cayosoft Administrator runs efficiently and securely.
