Excluding objects or containers from Change Monitoring

This article describes how to exclude objects and containers from change monitoring so that change records will not be created for these objects.

Excluding objects

The Add objects action allows excluding a single object. To exclude specific objects from change monitoring:

1. Open the Cayosoft Guardian web portal.
2. Go to Change Monitoring > Jobs.
3. Find an AD Change Collection job for your domain, select it, and click Properties.
4. Open the Exclusions tab.
5. Click Add objects.
6. Specify distinguished names of objects to be excluded.
7. Select the change type and modified properties to be excluded.
8. Click Add.

Excluding containers

The Add containers action allows excluding a single container with its child objects. To exclude specific containers from change monitoring:

1. Open the Cayosoft Guardian web portal.
2. Go to Change Monitoring> Jobs.
3. Find an AD Change Collection job for your domain, select it, and click Properties.
4. Open the Exclusions tab.
5. Click Add containers.
6. Specify distinguished names of objects to be excluded.
7. Select object types, change types, and modified properties to be excluded.
8. Click Add.
