These events are shown as part of the Change History view, helping administrators and auditors monitor operational activities such as job executions, rule modifications, or entity management.
Key capabilities are:
- Logs internal Guardian operations like:
- Running or scheduling jobs
- Creating, modifying, or deleting rules, connections, and other entities
- Displays internal audit events
- Helps detect unauthorized or unexpected internal changes
- Supports filtering and export for audit compliance or security reviews
NOTE: The rollback functionality is not supported at this time.
Internal audit in Change History
Internal auditing is integrated in Change History, meaning all activities performed by a Cayosoft Guardian administrator are captured and displayed as internal audit records. Each audit event includes the following details:
- When: The timestamp indicating when the activity occurred.
- What: The object(s) affected by the activity.
- Object Type: The type or category of the affected object.
- Action: A system-generated description of the action, combining the operation performed with the Operation type.
- Who: The user who performed the activity.
- Properties: The user can define what properties can be displayed.
-
Where: The specific location in Guardian where the activity took place.
TIP: To view internal audit events, set the System type filter to Guardian. The Guardian type filter is applicable to all internal audit records.
To learn more about the advanced filters, see Using advanced filter in Cayosoft Guardian.
