Analytics collection | Quota Information
Rule description
This rule counts the number of assigned licenses per web query in all Administrative Units, where the Office 365 License Quota section is configured.
You can see the summary information across all Administrative Units in the Cayosoft Administrator Console, Office 365 License Quotas.
IMPORTANT: When you set or change the quota, please run the Analytics collection | Quota Information rule to update and recalculate existing reports and quotas.
This rule also supports mapping between Active Directory and Cloud user accounts by anchor attributes. For details, please see the article How to map Active Directory users to Office 365 cloud users.
When to use this rule
Typically you do not need to create an instance of this rule. It is automatically created during installation in the Cayosoft Administrator Console under Rules > WebAdmin Rules (Pre-configured) folder.
Use this rule when you need:
-
To get information about assigned Office 365 licenses and quotas. For more information about quota configuration, please see Office 365 License Quotas article.
NOTE: To get the actual information about assigned licenses you should configure the Enforce/Schedule section.
-
To get the report with the list of quota collection errors. For example, Office 365 licenses can be applied to users who are remote-linked mailboxes. The Cayosoft Administrator Service goes through master accounts to identify the UPNs to use to match the cloud account. For some remote-linked mailboxes, master accounts may be deleted or not found. Such user accounts are so-called "failed" users. In this case, the rule will execute with the error. You can get the list of "failed" user accounts in the report.
NOTE: To get the report with the list of quota collection errors you should configure the Output section.
