Rule description

This rule collects usage data from the managed Microsoft 365 tenant.

This rule is a part of the Analytics collection runbook that collects usage data from Active Directory and Microsoft 365. This data is used in Office 365 License Optimization dashboard and Office 365 Service Adoption dashboard in the Web Portal.

Setting name	Description
License counter collection period (days)	Specify license counter collection period.
Mailbox data (days)	Specify the collection period for mailbox location, type, and archive size.
Collect archive size	Archive size collection can increase the total execution time and memory consumption. Set it to No if the Analytics collection runbook takes too long to complete.
Assigned phone number collection period (days)	The Connect to Microsoft Teams setting in the Microsoft 365 extension settings must be set to Yes to collect the phone usage.
