New User | Office 365 OneDrive post creation tasks
Rule description
This rule looks up the matching Microsoft 365 user with assigned Microsoft 365 OneDrive license and applies Microsoft 365 OneDrive settings defined by the rule.
An instance of the rule is automatically created during installation under RULES > WebAdmin Rules (Pre-configured) folder. This instance is linked to the New User (AD), Clone User, Enable Mailbox, New Linked Mailbox and New User with Linked Mailbox actions as a post-action rule in the Rules to run after section. The Run OneDrive post creation tasks setting on these web actions must be set to Yes for this rule to be executed automatically.
NOTE: Before using this rule in Administrator Console please navigate to Configuration > Connected Systems Extensions > Microsoft 365 and set Connect to SharePoint Online service to Yes.
NOTE: It might take up to 15 minutes for Microsoft Platform to complete the OneDrive service enablement for the user after a corresponding Microsoft 365 license is assigned. Before applying OneDrive settings, the rule periodically checks whether the service was enabled. If OneDrive is not enabled within the period, defined by the Time-out (minutes) setting, a timeout occurred and reported to the client.
NOTE: This rule also supports mapping between Active Directory user account and Cloud user account by anchor attributes. For details, please see How to map Active Directory users to Office 365 cloud usersarticle.
When to use this rule
You typically do not need to create an instance of this rule, as it is automatically created during installation and linked to the New User (AD) and other web actions, listed above. The rule is executed when a user selects Exchange Remote mailbox type option in the Web Portal for the created user account mailbox.
Using this rule, you can create a personal site for a newly created user account. Also, you can delegate administrators access rights to the site.

Properties to display
|
Each object property defined in this setting matches the column that will be displayed in the Web Portal for this web query. To display additional columns, add the required properties to the Properties to display list. To add extension attribute 1 that is synchronized from AD, you need to use a value like:
Copy
|
| Sort by | Sort result object list. |
| Initialization Script | |
| Script |
Usually, rules use query criteria to limit the query search scope. It improves the performance of the executed rule. Due to the PowerShell limitations, it is not possible to use calculated expressions in query criteria. That is the point where the initialization script can help. You can initialize a global variable in this setting and then use it in query criteria. IMPORTANT: To use a variable, declared in the initialization script, in the query scope, it must be global: Example: Update AD users, created in the last ten days.
