New User | Office 365 OneDrive post- creation tasks
Rule description
This rule identifies the corresponding Microsoft 365 user with an assigned OneDrive license and applies the specified OneDrive settings.
An instance of this rule is automatically created during installation under RULES > WebAdmin Rules (Pre-configured). It is linked as a post-action rule in the Rules to run after section for the following Web actions:
New User (AD)
Clone User
Enable Mailbox
New Linked Mailbox
New User with Linked Mailbox
For this rule to execute automatically, the Run OneDrive post-creation tasks setting on these Web UI actions must be set to Yes.
IMPORTANT:
SharePoint Online connection: Before using this rule in the Cayosoft Administrator Console, navigate to Configuration > Connected Systems Extensions > Microsoft 365 and set Connect to SharePoint Online service to Yes.
OneDrive activation delay: It may take up to 15 minutes for Microsoft to complete OneDrive service enablement after a Microsoft 365 license is assigned. The rule periodically checks whether the service is enabled. If OneDrive is not activated within the time specified in the Time-out (minutes) setting, a timeout will occur and be reported.
Active Directory to cloud user mapping: This rule supports mapping between an Active Directory user account and a cloud user account using anchor attributes. For details, refer to the How to map Active Directory users to Office 365 cloud users article.
When to use this rule
You typically do not need to manually create an instance of this rule, as it is automatically generated during installation and linked to the Web actions listed above. The rule is executed when a user selects Exchange Remote mailbox type in the Web Portal for the created user account mailbox.
This rule enables the creation of a personal OneDrive site for newly created user accounts. Additionally, it allows delegating administrator access rights to the site.

Properties to display
|
Each object property defined in this setting matches the column that will be displayed in the Web Portal for this web query. To display additional columns, add the required properties to the Properties to display list. To add extension attribute 1 that is synchronized from AD, you need to use a value like:
Copy
|
| Sort by | Sort result objects list |
| Initialization Script | |
| Script |
Usually, rules use query criteria to limit the query search scope. It improves the performance of the executed rule. Due to the PowerShell limitations, it is not possible to use calculated expressions in query criteria. That is the point where the initialization script can help. You can initialize a global variable in this setting and then use it in query criteria. IMPORTANT: To use a variable, declared in the initialization script, in the query scope, it must be global: Example: Update AD users, created in the last ten days.
