Operational Efficiency Dashboard
The purpose of the Operational Efficiency Dashboard is to provide a rough time-savings estimate achieved when tasks are completed with Cayosoft Administrator over performing the same management tasks manually using native tools. The dashboard is broken down into Yearly, Monthly and Two-Week Time-frames.
How Time Savings is calculated
The time savings shown on the dashboard is based on the actual aggregate time of the tasks completed using Cayosoft Administrator compared to the observed average time the tasks took to perform manually with native tools. The observed times are each an average time that can include performing the task, correcting conflicts and other real-world situations that can affect the time to completion.
The Cayosoft Administrator task completion times are calculated by determining the execution time of each step necessary to complete the task added together. The time savings is then calculated by subtracting the actual time from the observed time.
Time Savings dashboard
The Time Savings Dashboard can be used to understand which areas of the Cayosoft Administrative Platform are being used and producing the best savings. For example, a glance at the dashboard may show savings from Automation and with Simplified Administration. The customer may want to deploy Self-Service Password or Group Management so that additional savings can be achieved through Self-Service as well.
Determining time savings for a specific task
In Cayosoft Administrator, all work done by the system to accomplish a task is to examine the Execution History for the rules that were run to complete the task. It is important to recognize that many different rules may be needed to complete a single task. The graphic below illustrates the rules that are run to complete a task to create a Hybrid User account. To determine the time savings, in this case, the savings of each rule is evaluated and then added to the total time savings. Because this was an Administrative Task was performed in the Web Portal the time savings will be attributed to Simplified Administration.
IMPORTANT: Every rule generates a time savings. To see if a rule provides time savings, open the Execution History item for that rule and look at the header section for the time- saving. (Execution History is located in the Cayosoft Administrator Console here: HOME > CONFIGURATION > Execution History.) Shown below is the execution history for the New User rule that is the first rule executed in the creation of a Hybrid User account. Here we see that there were an estimated 4 minutes saved on this rule.
What other factors affect time savings?
What isn’t calculated into the Cayosoft Administrator Times Savings database is the elimination of errors that would otherwise happen using native tools. Also not included is the avoidance of security and compliance breaches and tangible and intangible costs they always incur.

The Cayosoft Administrator Time Savings Dashboard provides valuable insight into where the product is delivering efficiencies and where new features can be used to achieve even greater Efficiency, Security, and Compliance.
