Phases
Project Kick-off and Requirements
Cayosoft will work with The Customer to review the scope of work to validate the desired outcome of the installation of Administrator.
Potential topics to disucss and determine as part of this kick off:
Delegation Model
User LifeCycle Process (Automation and Suspend/Undo Suspend)
Group Management (Dynamic Groups and Restricted Groups)
AD Reports
Web Portal Customization
Self-Service for Users to be able to update/maintain their account, computer, groups, teams.
Self-Service Password Reset
Multiple Server Setup (Separate Self-Service Server, Publisher/Subscriber model)
Existing Process transfer (Dynamic Group transfer)
***Based on the time allotment for the project, Cayosoft may only be able to implement a portion of the specific configuration request.
Installation
Cayosoft will work with The Customer to install Administrator on the designated server(s) and configure the base installation for Administrator.
Basic Configuration
- Create muiltiple Virtual Admin Units
- Create multiple Reporting Rules
- Create multiple Dynamic Groups
- Create multiple Restricted Groups
- Discuss Family Groups
- Create a sample New User Automation Process
- Review Delegation Model – Setup Global Administrators and Delegation to Virtual Admin Units
- Create multiple Attribute Policies for Web Actions
- Web Portal Customization (Authentication, Vanity Image/URL)
- Email Configuration (Exchange Online or SMTP)
Advanced Configuration
Cayosoft will work with The Customer to create the rules, reports, configurations, and automation that were defined as part of the Project Kick-off, based on the ability to finish, validate and test, and within the project timeline.
This may also include the following setup(s) if needed:
- Assist with Dynamic Group configurations from previous products
- Setup Self-Service for Users to maintain their own accounts, computers, groups, and teams
- Setup Serf-Service Password reset (A separate server and install may be needed)
- Setup Publisher/Subscriber deployments
Validation and Testing
Cayosoft will work with The Customer to validate the implemented configurations to ensure they are working as intended
Knowledge Transfer
Cayosoft will work with The Customer to review and walk through their Administrator installation, going over the customizations and basic functionality of the product, allowing The Customer to be able to utilize Administrator. This knowledge transfer can also extend to a session with Service Desk/HelpDesk staff and not just the Administrators as time permitted or as needed.
Professional Services Closure
Cayosoft will do a final product review with The Customer; finalize any knowledge transfer and questions that are outstanding (time permitted); direct The Customer to the Support Website for future assistance; and mark the Professional Services engagement complete.
Assumptions and Prerequisites
The Customer agrees to cooperate with Cayosoft on the delivery of the Administrator product and has completed all the basic requirements prior to the Cayosoft Subject Matter Expert engaging in the project. These requirements include but are not limited to:
- Needed Accounts are created and permissioned for Administrator.
- Servers have been provisioned and patched.
- Network Ports to essential services have been opened.
- Access for the Cayosoft Subject Matter Expert has been created and is in place.
- The Customer’s Resources will be available for questions and decision making as needed.
- Blocks are scheduled in for 1 or 2 -hour intervals
- Blocks may change as requirements and desired outcomes are defined.
