Work with My Groups
The Web Portal has two web queries for groups management: My AD Groups - to view and manage Active Directory groups, and My Office 365 groups - to view and manage Office 365 groups.

Work with My AD Groups
Creating a New Distribution Group
Click the Active Directory Administrative Unit > AD Groups.
On the Actions menu, click New Distribution Group.
In the Group Name field, type the name of the new group.
NOTE: You may see a prefix such as DL- or SDL- already in the field that was specified by your administrators. If the prefix exists, add your group name to the right of the prefix.
Chose the Group Scope and Group Type.
Set the Managed By attribute to the individual that will be responsible for the Group.
Click Create.
After the confirmation is displayed, click Close.
Add or Remove a user from a group
Click the Active Directory Administrative Unit > AD Groups.
Enter the name of the group in the search field and click Search Objects.
Click the check mark to the left of the group’s name.
On the Actions menu, click Membership.
To Add a User to the Group, enter the name of the user(s) in the Find: field and click +Add.
To Remove a User from the Group, click the check mark to the left of the user’s name then click Remove Member(s).
Click Update to save changes to the group.
Suspend a Group
Click the Active Directory Administrative Unit > AD Groups.
Enter the name of the group in the search field and click Search Objects.
Click the check mark to the left of the Group’s name.
On the Actions menu, click Suspend Group.
Select the date the Group will be suspended, or leave the default to suspend the Group immediately.
Enter a comment that will be recorded in the operational history log.
Click Suspend.
Undo-Suspend a Group
Click the Active Directory Administrative Unit > AD Groups.
Enter the name of the group in the search field and click Search Objects.
Click the check box to the left of the Group’s name.
On the Actions menu, click Undo Suspend Group.
Select the date the Group will be un-suspended or leave the default to un-suspend the Group immediately.
Enter a comment that will be recorded in the operational history log.
Click Undo Suspend.
View Group Properties
Click the Active Directory Administrative Unit > AD Groups.
Enter the name of the group in the search field and click Search Objects.
Click the check mark to the left of the Group’s name.
On the Actions menu, click Properties.
Disable a Group
Active Directory does not allow Groups to be disabled, but you can suspend a Group which effectively disables the group. See Suspend a Group earlier in this section.
Set or update a Manager (Managed By) for a Group
Click the Active Directory Administrative Unit > AD Groups.
Enter the name of the group in the search field and click Search Objects.
Click the check mark to the left of the Group’s name.
On the Actions menu, click Properties.
Click the Managed By tab at the top.
Click Change to the right of the Managed By field.
Enter the manager’s name in the search field and click Search Objects.
Click the check mark to the left of the manager’s name then click OK.
Click Update
